Step into a world of endless creative potential—welcome!
ArtJump, an initiative of Burning Man Netherlands, celebrates artistic expression and fosters cultural exchange while embracing the Ten Principles of Burning Man. It’s more than just a grant—it’s an opportunity to push boundaries, connect with fellow creatives, and share your vision with the world.
This grant allows artists to pay for the transportation of their existing work on an inspiring journey across Europe, allowing more Burners to experience their unique creations. Whether your piece lights up the night, invites participation, or transforms space in unexpected ways, we want to help bring it to life in new places. Our vision is to see even more art thrive across European Burns—and your masterpiece could be a part of that dream!
Submit your existing, Burn-inspired artwork to our jury for a chance to receive an ArtJump grant. With this support, you can transport your artistic vision beyond borders and immerse new communities in your creative magic.
A panel of international judges will carefully review all submissions and select the most compelling and impactful installations or artworks to receive funding.
You’ll be in great company! Be sure to check out past winners for inspiration and see how ArtJump has helped extraordinary artists like you bring their work to new audiences.

What the FAQs
What does the 2025 ArtJump grant include?
The 2025 ArtJump grants are specifically designed to cover a fixed amount of transportation costs for existing artworks. These grants aim to support artists who will take their art on tour, showcasing it at a variety of events across Europe.
Each selected artist will present their work at Where the Sheep Sleep 2025, as well as at least one other event in Europe. These events may include Burns, Burning Man-inspired gatherings, Maker Faires, or other artistic initiatives.
Who can apply?
Any artist (including performers) can apply with existing artwork.
How many grants will be awarded in 2025?
This year we plan to fund a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 existing art projects.
What does it grant?
This year the total budget of €7,000 (Euros) is available for applicants.
You can apply for a transportation grant to a maximum of €3,500.
Note to artists: Ask only for what you need. The jury will take into account how your transport budget is related to your overall project and budget. A realistic budget will positively affect your chances of receiving a grant.
Who’s the jury?
The international jury – who all have their hearts and feet deep in Burning Man communities – will be honoured to make the grant selection.
The 2025 jury is to be announced!
What will the jury be looking for?
The jury will judge each art application on the following parameters:
- The art must be an existing artwork (including performances)
- The art must already be in Europe
- The art must be participatory. We define participatory as some/all of the following:
- Interactive art
- Art that prompts the viewer to act
- Art that can be experienced in more ways than visually
- Art that prompts people to interact with one another
- Art that responds to participants and their environment
- Art that causes people to reflect on the larger community
- Art that challenges the viewers’ traditional perspective on art
- Art that belongs to the public and exists for the benefit of all
- The art will participate at Where the Sheep Sleep (19th June until 23rd June 2025)
- To receive the art grant, the artist must define which events (at least one to 2 burn related events within one year/2025) they would like to bring their art to
- The artist must have a practical transportation plan to and from the event(s)
- Remember, these are Leave No Trace events
- Shipping, event tickets, insurance and any other art-related logistics are the artists’ responsibilities; the ArtJump grants only cover transportation costs
